The Holga Reappears

These are taken with the Holga lens which Leon actually gave me, I'm so happy! I love the way that the Holga makes the photos look, its so mysterious. The pictures of Dean are a different Dean all together then the one I put up other day. Have a good evening. And enjoy the photos.

In thought

If you want a picture of your model deep in thought, ask a question. A good one that they have to think about. I like deep pictures, no smile, deep in thought, or sad

Eyes

Finlay said that our friend Gus had a picture of her eyes and her sister's eyes right next each other in frames, she said she loved them and when I showed this to her she fell in love with it.

Holga lense

I took this photo threw a Holga lense that I borrowed from Leon. I'm so glad I did because I love the way it turned out. I'm thinking of getting one for myself. I'm going for a very calm, nature loving girl who has just found a spot to take a short rest. I think I succeeded. Any other opinions?

Finlay, a new model reveals her self

On Sunday I invited Finlay over to do a photo shoot and she said yes. When she arrived we walked to Green Pastures to take pictures. We spent an hour and a half there together enjoying ourselves as if we were having a playdate but only getting work done, very fun work! I have several more I'm going to share with you on the next few posts, so stay tuned. Finlay is going to be a model I will continue shooting and am so happy to have listened to Leon's input on taking more of her. "More, more" he said and I did.

Leon

Today in photography Leon and I looked at a photo that he really liked and we made a version of that, in a way. This is shot threw a mirror and is my version of the original.

The dreamy Little Green Witches are the hits of my photography eye. I love keeping an eye out for these kind of photos, it's so much fun!

Here is a photo of our sale that we had today and will have two weeks from today at Boggy Creek Farm. We sold lots of products that we made with Ginger Webb, our teacher and had a ton fun!

Dean and Dead Lizard

I gave this photo to my mom for her birthday. He has put the lizard outside now for the birds and gnats to enjoy but we still have this photo for memories.

The evidence

Here is Ananda again, only this time she is way into it. Yeah! so happy with this!

I say " go Ananda" I say " go Ananda"

I absolutely love shooting Ananda! She is so fun and easy. I plan on shooting her for a longer period of time one day cause I love it so much. When I first start to shoot her she's not comfortable but after several minutes she's calm and really gets into it.

Go swimmers

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. Here is a photo of my 2 friends from swim team. We were all walking down to run laps and I saw the 2 of them walking side by side holding hands and talking, it was caught but also posed.

A Model Reappears

Leon says "she's a great model, get more of her." I took this before he said that but I see her almost every week and I plan on taking tons of pictures of her! I'm very lucky to have her as a friend and glad that we will have many more chances to take photos.

The Clouds

The clouds tonight were amazing, super beautiful! I came home from swimteam and I saw the clouds and my first words were " I must take a picture of those!" So ran up and got my camera and took this photo of the amazing clouds.

Ballet de la lizard

Dean found this dead Texas Spiny lizard in our yard and he became very good "friends" with the dead creature. When we were taking pics he decided upon this wonderful pose. A happy lizard dance.

Depth of feild

Here are some prayer flags that we made at a waldorf school, I chose this photo cause it has good depth of feild. The top of the flag in the middle is in focus and the rest of the photo is out of focus, short depth of feild.

A New Subject

Plants are a new object that I have just began shooting. I'm studying plants and I LOVE photography, so its a perfect match. This is a Yellow-Ball Lead-Tree.

Deany Boy

Dean didn't like this picture because he thought he looked like an old man, but I love it! I think it's my favorite one I have taken of him. Such a great background and facial expression for the energy and type of kid he is.

I Documented the Photographer in Action

I was with Leon and Esme and we were taking turns positioning our model and taking photos, I thought it would be really cool to get Leon in action. So while it was his turn I took the oppurtunity to get the shot.

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Yeah!

I love this picture!! I'm very excited that it turned out the way it did, I was trying to show her but not her.

Friday, April 8, 2011

Leon's friends just bought this really cool, old house. Leon and I decided to go there and get some shots of Esme and this is in one the bathrooms. What I think of when I see this shot is a girl that lost something or just experienced a sad moment and is hiding in the bathroom... alone, wondering whats going to happen next.

The Trolls

"Who's that trip-trappin over my bridge?" Said the little Trolls under the bridge.

Sunday, April 3, 2011

I got the idea from a book of photography prompts, it said take a picture of your parents kissing, so I did.
The book also said to take a picture of an inspirational sign, we put a sign out in our front yard every month or so with some question or inspirational piece to remind people to think about the things that make them feel good. I came home one day and decided to take a photo of my parents kissing in front of our inspirational sign, they agreed to and this is the result of it, I like it alot! It looks like a scene that someone just came upon and decided to take a picture of, with the kids climbing the trees and the couple kissing, " those are my parents."

A series

A scar is worth a thousand words.
Life, scars, cuts, and other contusions
